Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. This website is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The information here, and on any third-party tool linked from this site, may not be used to make decisions about credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA. Background checks for those purposes must go through an FCRA-compliant screening provider.
Privately Operated Reference Site
Marion County Court Docket is privately run, with no endorsement by or affiliation to a court, clerk, or government agency. It cannot schedule hearings, operate a docket, or maintain an official index. Circuit and General Sessions files remain with the Circuit Court Clerk, Chancery files with the Clerk and Master, and municipal records with city clerks.
Accuracy of Information
Court and clerk offices may change phone numbers, hours, addresses, fees, and procedures without much notice, and docket systems get updated throughout the day. We do our best to keep our pages current, but we cannot guarantee that every detail on this site is correct at any given moment. Before you visit a clerk's counter or send a payment, call the office directly to confirm.
Dockets Change - Verify Before You Rely
A docket changes as a case proceeds. Hearing dates get set and then reset, cases get continued, matters are dismissed, sealed, consolidated, or amended, and a disposition can change what a case shows from one day to the next. A copy of a docket you saw last week may not reflect what the docket says today. Before you act on a court date, a case status, or any docket entry, confirm it with the clerk of court or the trial court that holds the case.
Treat every docket entry you find as a starting point, not the final word. Only the clerk of court or the court that holds the case can confirm what the docket currently says and whether a setting still stands.
Verify With the Official Source
Content here is not an official record. If a decision depends on what a docket says - a court date, a filing deadline, a case status, a disposition - get the answer from the office that holds the record: the clerk of court, the trial court that heard the case, or the statewide case-search system. An official or certified copy has to come from the issuing court or clerk.
Not Legal Advice
No content here constitutes legal advice. We point you to resources and explain how court dockets generally work in Marion County, but a website cannot replace a licensed attorney - especially for pending cases, filing deadlines, or how a ruling affects you.
Third-Party Search Tools
Some pages display search boxes powered by third-party companies. We do not control what those tools return, how they price their services, or how they handle data you submit. Results from those tools may be incomplete, outdated, or matched to the wrong case or person, and they carry the same FCRA restrictions described above.
Outbound Links
Links may lead to clerk of court sites, trial court portals, statewide case-search systems, and other resources. We do not control the content, accuracy, or availability of any external site.
No Records on This Site
No docket, case file, hearing calendar, order, or court record is hosted here. An actual Marion County docket sheet must come from its responsible clerk or court. Tennessee Public Case History is appellate-only and does not replace those trial-level custodians.
Frequently Asked Questions

Can I rely on a court date I saw here or on a linked tool?
No. Settings get reset and cases get continued. Confirm any date on the court calendar and with the clerk of court before you rely on it.
Who can give me a certified copy?
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that holds the case can issue an official or certified copy.
